“When I saw what they did, I felt so relieved.”

This week, on a chilly winter night in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Cami Ruocco decided to grab a bite to eat with her boyfriend and cousin at a local café. What she did not expect, however, was to see the moment a dog’s life changed forever.
While enjoying the meal and conversation, Ruocco looked out of the window and saw a stray dog approaching two people at a table out front. The dog, starved for affection and food, had apparently arrived seeking a bit of both from the strangers.
“I paid close attention,” Ruocco told The Dodo. “The girls were petting him, so I recorded the moment.”
This, however, was only the beginning of what would become a much longer story:

After a few moments of interacting with the sweet dog who’d arrived at their feet, the two at the table made the most beautiful decision.
“We found out from the waitress that they were going to adopt him,” Ruocco said.
When their attempts to craft a makeshift leash failed, the kindhearted pair carried their new pet home in their arms.
That night, everything changed for the formerly lonely dog, who’s reportedly now named Platon.
The Dodo contacted Platon’s new family to learn how he’s settling in to his new life, but they couldn’t be reached for comment. However, their gesture that night, setting the pup on a happier new course, speaks for itself.
“When I saw what they did, I felt so relieved,” Ruocco said.

Family Sees Trail Of Straw In Grass And Finds Someone Who Shouldn’t Be There
“We’re gonna get him a better situation than what he’s in.”
When Sloan Hobbs and his family saw a line of straw in the grass, they were confused. When they looked a little closer, their confusion quickly turned to shock and heartbreak.
“There’s a special place in hell for whoever dropped this off,” Hobbs said in a video on TikTok.

Nestled among the straw, waiting for help, was a tiny mouse. The little guy clearly didn’t belong there, so Hobbs and his family did the only thing they could — they gently scooped him up in some straw and took him home.
“We saved the mouse,” Hobbs said. “He’s a little cold. We’re gonna get him a better situation than what he’s in.”
DUMPED MOUSE UPDATE : We’ve set up a temporary space for Peanut the mouse and will be working on getting him/her a larger enclosure with plenty of room to run and explore. I have a 3d printer so this should be fun! Whoever abandoned this little mouse has issues and needs Jesus. We’re grateful we found Peanut in time. The family named their new mouse Peanut and quickly went to work making him comfortable. He seemed to be an older mouse, making his abandonment even more heartbreaking. Someone had cared for him and then simply tossed him away.

The family made a trip to the store and bought Peanut everything he could ever want. 24 hours after being rescued, he was already an entirely different mouse.

Peanut was abandoned like trash, but luckily he was found by people who see him not only as treasure, but as family.
