We need help to keep our rescue dogs safe!

Posted on October 10, 2025

Hello, my name is Lara and I am the Founder Koh Koh Pups, the only dog rescue on the island of Koh Tao, Thailand. We have been running for four years and as well as helping to reduce the island’s stray population through CNVR programs we have helped over 200 dogs find loving homes all over the world. We currently have 26 dogs in our care and help look after others through feeding, medicating and education in the community.

The search for land on our beautiful island to build a dedicated space for our Koh Koh Pups has been an arduous one but FINALLY things are starting to come together. We’ve secured land and now the build begins.

Your donations will be used to pay for the materials and supplies needed for construction. We need 250m of perimeter fencing, accessibility paths and a reception area, toilet and two store rooms. We also have plans to expand the kennels area to accommodate the dogs as comfortably as possible and create a new training area to prepare them for their future adopted life.

We are so grateful for all your support both financially and by following our story. If you require any further information please feel free to reach out.

Thank you and Bow Wow!Read more

Charlie completed his first day of his marathon to help us raise money for Koh Koh Pups and our build of the rescue centre. He walked 3.44km today which is a fantastic achievement. Tomorrow we will do a shorter walk so we don’t peak too soon.

Lots of work has been done at the rescue the last couple days with the digger coming up and preparing a lot of land for the new fences. We flattened a lot of the areas, dug up all the old tree roots and built a new set of stairs out of the big flat rocks that litter the rescue. We also dug out the water tanks so we can repair and utilize them. Can’t wait to start catching rainwater and being as self sufficient as possible.
